Barkley was nowhere near the best player on the pitch. My lad could of put in a more commited performance on one of his bad days

Really? Frankly I'd be surprised if anyone in the rest of the country was so aware. Are they getting the impression from TV? Doubt it, it has never been an issue that has come over on the telly. Are they getting it second hand, from the Press? Doubt it, the Press is not interested in anything to do with Everton. I read many newspapers and I truthfully can't recall one article or even a reference to 'the treatment Barkley (supposedly) gets'. That just leaves websites. In other words they are just regurgitating what is being said by Evertonians on our websites. A circular, self-supporting generation of a myth.

PS - do these very aware and knowledgeable associates of yours ever comment on the brilliance of our away support?

I can hear in on the TV...the groans...the boos....unless of course they're saying Lukakooooooooooo and I'm only hearing the last part.
 

"I paid my money I will do what I want" continues to be one of the silliest strawman arguments I have ever heard. Nobody is proposing we ban anyone who boos from Everton games for life ... we just think it's hurting rather than helping. Tea party logic. "Mah rights!"

For all the rep Besic gets about him being moody,he really "Gets" this club.
I heard the boos (which I hate)he was the last player I would have taken off.
I really cant see why we dont mix it up with 4 4 2 .
Besic & McCarthy central with 2 wingers and 2 up top.
It just might work agst teams like Leicester who are content to sit 10/11 behind the ball.
Somethings gotta change most teams have well sussed us out.

That's great - so stick to your own beliefs on the matter and stop trying to tell other people what to do (not necessarily you, but the OP and the other "superfans" who periodically tell people what to do). You're entitled to cheer, boo, clap, cry, play Flappy Bird and ignore the game... makes no odds.

If people made threads explaining why they believe cheering mindlessly is the ideal thing to do, that's great, and I'll counter-debate them - but acting like anyone who boos is out of order is just going to get the backs of people up; it gets mine up, as I believe in having a critical mind and not being a happy clapper no matter what's going on myself, but I don't start threads ripping into people who are that type all the time.
