I feel he was sold a lie by our senior management so I've never felt ill will towards him.

I heard plenty from the moment he joined us about him being a has been. Well he took the Real Madrid job to be a safe pair of hands and has won the League and Champions League this season. He won the CL the hard way with the teams his side faced.

Both he and his team seemed composed at all times tonight. He's now a 4 time Champions League winner as Manager. One of the all time greats.

Well done Carlo. But lets be honest, without Cortois and Benzema, they would have been out of this competition long ago. I've never seen a team get thoroughly outplayed so many times and win.

You could say the same thing about the RS with Salah, Mane and Allison though. Teams are made up of eleven players some of whom are better than the rest and will have bigger impacts on games.

In hindsight, we had the manager we needed to take us to the very top. We gave him a poor squad that cost half a billion , financial issues off the back of it that we will have to live with and a squad of players who stopped playing 3 months before the end of the season, only to see them not play until the last 3 months of this season.

We really had a good thing going for us last year and the poor running of this club over the past 6 years made sure we couldn't take advantage of it.

If he had stayed, we would have ruined this man's reputation. Instead he is getting the plaudits he deserves.

Sums this club up sometimes when a minority of fans tried to say he was past it by coming here.

I dont think he was sold a lie. He just came into a club thats been run with no plan or strategy for so long that he had nothing great to work with. He went for some instant fix signings. He was starting to look exhausted with the lack of quality by the end. Madrid came in and that was that.
Truth is he probably wasnt right for Everton long term. The club should have gone for Graham Potter and gave him the keys to the club to starting something here.
There wasnt much hope ancelotti building any foundations at Everton. If that thing even exists now at clubs. All seems to be the here and now.
Carlo was a name. The Everton owner wanted people to say hey look who i got. Carlo ancelotti.
Dont think any lies were told. He just wasnt here long enough to do much anyway.
