Technically yeah....if he was happy and comfortable he would be a good addition.
However after the last 4 seasons we have had we cant even say if we will be any use this season....if it aint going right for the team he could just find himself lost again and shot of confidence
Below the knee amputation, just a scratchHow inured is he?
No im not blaming you.Yep. Sorry, not condoning it. Just trying to convey the strength of feeling they have towards him. Will happily remove the post if any offence caused. Apols
He was so friggin good for Valencia. He's a HUGE upgrade IMO. Morgan sits, Gomes plug into the 8 position (if we really have one), is an elite ball carrier, and gives us some size out of the midfield.
Looked brilliant at Valencia the sort of player definitely worth getting in on a season loan to see if he can get over any injury and confidence issues a bit like Moyes did to great effect
The issue with Gomes is mental...he has great physical and technical abilities...maybe with a Portuguese manager known to be a good people person that can help him achieve his potential...the only problem I see is that rumors are that the injury he has is more serious than previously thought...could be out until end of September...that’s a long time
He was 2 levels above any Valencia player. Amazing how hes flopped at Barca...
He's got all the tools as a CM...then again so has Schneiderlin as a DM.
Both seem weak mentally, low confidence...who knows?
Gomes gets injured a lot which is a worry for such a big bloke.
Id love a loan, not a permanent.
I just want a midfielder not named Schneiderlin or Gueye and Gomes fits that bill
