Can't say I agree at all on the crowd bit. We've watched Schneiderlein and Gueye. The slightest hint of quality in midfield and the crowd would be right behind him. I think people have completely forgotten how much tripe we have in our midfield ranks.

Barcelona fans on Twitter seem like utter tits though. If you’re not Xavi or Iniesta then you’re crap. He’s obviously been poor there, but that lad is clearly just being stupid. Didn’t they pay something like £40m for him? Someone there saw something in him, Barcelona don’t just go round splashing £40m on no marks. They don’t have Steve Walsh as their dof.

Even if he can run a little and can pass a ball in some capacity to a blue shirt, he’s good enough for us.

If he replicated anything like what ive seen of him in many many games he wouldn't last long if we didnt have a good season. Hed be boo-bait. In my opinion anyway. Seems a decent chap tho and hope he gets over the slump. Would be great if it was with us but i think he would be a risk right now.

I don't see any other midfield names being linked so the alternative is to go with professional jogger Morgan and guaranteed boos. It's a no lose situation for me.

I’d take him on a loan with a fee agreed but I’m not convinced by him. He’s also have to settle into the premiership.

Technically yeah....if he was happy and comfortable he would be a good addition.

However after the last 4 seasons we have had we cant even say if we will be any use this season....if it aint going right for the team he could just find himself lost again and shot of confidence

He was so friggin good for Valencia. He's a HUGE upgrade IMO. Morgan sits, Gomes plug into the 8 position (if we really have one), is an elite ball carrier, and gives us some size out of the midfield.

Looked brilliant at Valencia the sort of player definitely worth getting in on a season loan to see if he can get over any injury and confidence issues a bit like Moyes did to great effect
