I think it will really depend how settled he feels at Everton first and foremost and then secondly does he think we can challenge at the top end.

Would be really easy for him come the end of the season and say "great season at Everton, mentally I feel great, confidence is back and I'm happy to go back to Barca or move to another top CL club" or he thinks "great season at Everton, mentally I feel great, enjoying it here and it feels right to be here and commit to something".

Either way, I've said it before and I'll say it again... If he's producing the goods for us and he's enjoying himself as much as we are enjoying having him here, then we are all winners even if it is just for a season.

There is no way back for him at Barcelona.

If he is enjoying himself here he will come here barring a mad bid from a proper big club.

The fee will probably be reasonable enough too, Barcelona are not going to be too bothered that he is dominating Cardiff City. What did he cost them? Around 35M before you include all the add ons? I reckon 40 will do it as long as a bidding war doesn't happen.

They trebled minas fee after just 5 appearances
No way is gomes going for 40m

Yeah why not?

Not all players are obsessed with just playing in the Champions League and all that. The feeling of belonging and having the faith of the fans is a big draw. Liverpool aint a bad place to live/commute to and we can pay well now.

He is enjoying himself here by the looks of it, no reason why he would not want to stay if the opportunity came up.

That was a world cup, the eyes of the world were on him.

Besides...we got Mina! We worry about money too much these days, for once we don't really have to. Lash 200M at him, I don't care, it's not my money.
