In my lifetime (post the good years) I've never seen an everton midfielder run a midfield as well as Arteta was doing the season he did his knee, he was as good as anyone in the league. It's an absolute crime that moyes played him outwide as long as he did.Arteta was miles better.

That being said if sign Gomes on a perma, he could go into folklore
Was no bracewellArteta08 WAS football.
Was no bracewell
Arteta was miles better.
Would it be frowned upon for a man in his mid 20's to rock up to this?
On a serious note, he's boss and fully gets what it means to be an Everton player. Need to get him permanently.

That’s maybe harsh all 3 of those won league titles. Gomes is unlikely to do that with us. What he has done in the short time he has been here is fully integrated himself into the club, put in solid performances on the pitch and gained universal respect from the media for his performances. Class act on and off the pitch. Get him signed up Everton.Gomes is a fantastic player and we should be doing everything in our power to get him permanently but he has a long way to go before he is mentioned with the likes of Alan Ball, Peter Reid, Johnny Morrison etc. etc, etc etc.
Tell them to do one look at Deulofeu he was given a second chance now he's on Watfords bench.
He reminds me a lot of Bracewell this lad. He could well become our new talisman.
