I was watching Gomes during the Leicester game and do you know what crossed my mind "no way would Jan Molby have ever put in performances like this, it just wouldn't have been acceptable"

Molby is undoubtably the high bench mark all Evertonians judge midfielders by.

Came here to say this.

His form may have dipped a bit but I fully anticipated it personally. This is where our obvious lack of squad depth comes in to play. Even playing poorly nobody wants to drop Gomes for Schneiderlin or Davies for example.

Hes had a knock as well, just not gliding about the way he was, even being caught in possession too. He had an injury when he arrived so you’re spot on that he’s probably needing a rest - but our alternatives are trash.

Barcelona newspaper Mundo Deportivo claiming Gomes can leave for €25m (£22m)....not sure about the credibility of the newspaper , could be just like the Sun here ?
