Does anyone know how these loans work? Maybe naively I thought EFC would have an option to make the loan permanent agreed when they negotiated the loan? Otherwise you run the risk of simply acting as a shop window for other premier league clubs to see how a player does in this league?

Theyre all different, some with options and others without...lots of different clauses inside a loan deal.

That makes sense, but last year Barca must've been anxious to get AG off the wage bill, so depending on who else wanted him maybe EFC could have got something in there, maybe a first refusal or similar?
