Reminding me a lot of the Pienaar saga this. He said he loves it here, he'll know he has a future here that will involve lots of good times and he's already had a full year to settle in the area. I very much doubt he'll want to drop us for Spurs just like that, yes they're miles ahead of us but is he a guaranteed starter there? No. Will they pay him more money than us? No. Does he know anyone down there who'll be working on him, telling him boss it is? No. West Ham? Don't be that silly please.

Barca are simply trying to squeeze more money out of us, hoping the emotion and expectation of the fans forces the club to cave in and just pay that bit extra (just like Levy did, played us like a fiddle).

Just leave it to Brands.

Those cheeky ‘ammers are being very opportunistic. They may have done us a favour though, they’ve blinked first and we’ve now got a good idea what Barca want. I'm pretty sure if we want him permanently, the groundwork with both Barca and the player will already have been started a while ago, same with Zouma, again if we want him.

I reckon the hierarchy will already have a very good idea whether either of the on loan players are likely to become permanent.
 
If anyone here really thinks Gomez will go to West Ham...they'll think us mad !!
He will be either here or Spurs. Not a cat in hells chance he'll end up there....why would he ?? We will easily match any wage deal and it will go down to if he wants champions league immediately or willing to help us achieve it.
Pinkies crossed he is happy to wait with us.
