Yep,this could be one of the 1st times ive heard if true, that a player wants to come to us meaning the fee will be lower than another team is offering,usually its us who miss out and the other team gets a player for less than we were going to pay

We were in a similar situation with Mina last year and we didn't change the price we were willing to pay for him

As for Gomes, the fact this thread went off on a tangent is probably a good example of how nothing much is happening with it and weprobably won't know what's going on with him until we're a bit further into the window. In my heart I like to think that he's cool with coming back to Everton and we just need to sort stuff out with Barca. I think we'll have to be patient for a bit though

Don’t think it was ever in doubt whether we’d be able to agree personal terms or that he’d want to come here

It was just whether Brands’ (needed) stubbornness would get in the way of a deal. That still remains to be seen for me

I can see this one going right up to August tbh, not the end of the world though it’s not like he needs to settle in
