Excellent debut. Thought he offered a calming influence. Very assured, neat & tidy. No slouch either, just seems to glide across the turf, covered plenty of ground.

I’d say he’s at least half a stone over his playing weight & short of match fitness. He looked like he was (sensibly) playing well within himself in view of that. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him step up a few gears in the next few games.

Could be a very good signing.
 
He done well overall, a little untidy at times but to be expected after being out of action for a good while. Has ability, made a great through pass into walcott second half who did not make the most of it, thats what we have been missing somebody who has the vision from midfield.
 

Very classy debit, can see why Barca signed him. They'll probably want him if he keeps playing like that though.

Lovely to see. In fairness to Davies he has played the occasional through ball.
 

Settled in and ended up having a good debut game. Nice to see us with a midfielder who not only has a strong presence but can also play an accurate ball. Feeling very optimistic about this guy :)
