We don't play with anywhere near the same attacking verve as Dortmund.

The guy wasn't fit enough to start until last month. But he was scoring because he's a poacher and had Sancho, Pulisic, Reus etc setting up chances for him.

So no, I don't think we did 'miss an opportunity'. You could say that about pretty much any player.

He's at a club where the style suits him, as does the style of the league. Kind of like Batshuayi last year at Dortmund as well.

Sorry, should have been clearer - we don't yet play with the same verve as they do!

And yes I have, I cover a fair bit of German football.

Alcacer scored something mental like six goals in less than 90 minutes of football. He's a brilliant poacher.

But would he have suited how we want to play? Doesn't Silva seem to like a physical player up top, someone who can stretch a defence etc.

So, I'm not sure Alcacer would have fit that mould?
