Dont get why people rate him so much.

Very talented on his day but very inconsistent and has had some absolute stinkers of performances.

Also quite slow, can not tackle and gives daft fouls away outside our box. His mental strength is also something of a concern based on his issues at Barca and who knows how he'll return from his injury both physically aswell as mentally.

I wouldn't be putting any transfer business on hold on the basis of him being fit come May as he's still not for me a guaranteed starter anyway - or atleast he shouldnt be.

I do agree with some posts about his consistency. One game he can look world class and the next game he looks awful. I think Ancelotti can get the consistency out of him though. Really hope Gbamin is decent too as he'd be a bonus.

Agree with others who think he is not consistent enough.

Clearly has the ability, but I think there are demons in his head and he doesn't have the required self-confidence to go with his talent.

We don't have similar like him really, and that means for me he has to become a leadership figure here, and he isn't suited to that.

Not consistent enough, and nowhere near productive enough, he should be getting 6-8 goals a season.

Still, hope to see him back as soon as next season starts, it will be refreshing for him to work under a competent manager.

Mind blown at some comments here. Clearly one of our better players. Clearly should produce more, as should every single member of the squad. Gomes form and return to fitness should be the least of our concerns, what with the glaring problems elsewhere in the squad.
