He’s a very good footballer. I would now like him to become a very good premier league midfielder. Some peeps cant even see a baller even if it bit them in face .
Once he's clear ( and fit enough after that injury) of Tom Davies , Siggy & Schneiderlain you will see .He’s a very good footballer. I would now like him to become a very good premier league midfielder.

Good players make other good players tick.
Carlo understands this.
Gomes is still getting back to full fitness after having a horrific injury...
He will take the rest of the season to get back to full fitness so we will not see him back to his best until next season whenever that maybe...
Replacing Xavi at Barca is a very tall order especially when he was going through serious mental health problems. We've seen good spells of form but he does need to find that next level in his own game. You're probably right that he'd benefit from better players around him but that wasn't the case at Barcelona.
Gomes is by far our best midfielder, unfortunately that says a lot more about how poor everyone else is rather than how good he has been.
Gone a bit Samson like Pienaar when he shaved the cornrows off.
That's not quite what happened is it? The mental health problems came later, because he wasn't playing well. I'm also a bit uncomfortable calling them 'serious' mental health problems. None of the things he's said suggest they were remotely 'serious' in the grand scheme of things.Replacing Xavi at Barca is a very tall order especially when he was going through serious mental health problems.
He was outstanding at Valencia , but he has to have quality around him , not the current midfielders we have at the club.
Even after the horror injury Carlo knows and has him 1st on the teamsheet.
I would love to see Allan alongside him plus quality wide men for them to work with.
Only then we will see the very best of him.
There's going to be fewer penalties next season if the penalty area's been reduced! We either need to put him next to an incredible footballer that can help dominate possession or someone that can win the ball back and dominate the midfield defensively. He is serviceable and works hard on the defensive side, but he can’t tackle very well which often leaves us winning the ball back deep. I’d prefer most of our attacks start outside of our 16 yard box ffs. We always leave ourselves the length of the pitch which is hard to sustain with the lack of attacking power on the wings atm.
He was bought ( like many others ) to replace Xavi & Iniesta. That's not quite what happened is it? The mental health problems came later, because he wasn't playing well. Ok, I apologise. Hugely overplaying the known extent of mental health issues in order to win an internet argument will definitely help to end mental health stigma, you're right. He was bought ( like many others ) to replace Xavi & Iniesta.
It didnt work out as the crowd turned on him even booing him on the touchline as he went on for the injured Iniesta.
Point being Gomes is a very good player that has gone through a bad time & a wicked injury.
If we recruit players good enough around him he'll be a real asset.
Btw.
I'm very uncomfortable with any one judging the severity of mental health issues.
And trust me I lost my best mate and brother in law when no one thought it was 'serious' .So leave that out please.
