For a man that was clearly absolutely knackered for the last 30 mins, he was okay.

But he must be the easiest player in Europe to dribble past, genuinely astonishing how woeful he is when players try to take him on.

It makes whether he is going to be good enough for a 4-4-2 a legitimate question.

Thought he was poor for most of the game but did well in the closing period when we were just seeing it out. Probably still very unfit, had an absolute mad season.

Hes played 5 games since he's come back from his ankle break. 2 of them before the 3 month lay off...and then 3 games in 10 days.

Nothing we can do due to the squad. But I wouldn't be surprised with his fitness levels.

Need to work on him in the summer and get him fitter and sharper.

He's been sluggish but it's to be expected. I actually thought once there was a bit of needle with that bounce ball it got him going again.

Gets a pass for the rest of the season with me considering his injury and the slight twinge the other week. Next season I want to see more good performances from him than he’s shown thus far in his Everton career but I’d also like to see a better midfielder than we currently have playing next to him too.

I only saw the last 15mins live but rewatching now, he seemed pretty solid when he needed to be at the end there. I thought that was telling when others were fading around him.

At times you can see what Gomes is trying to do, but he looks too knacked. His mind is writing checks his body can't cash.
