How bloody unlucky have we been with broken legs in recent seasons:

Oviedo
McCarthy
Coleman
Gomes

Some clubs dont even get one in a decade.
Since Oviedo I'm struggling to remember any other player in the PL apart from those mentioned that it's happened to, there's been broken legs but I don't recall seeing many with the twisted hanging limb other than Everton players. If I'm wrong don't post pictures.

Apologies if too graphic. But it’s so heavy this wish the lad speedy recovery
Was he playing basketball? Or due to NHS cuts is he being treated on a basketball court? Doubt thats him lad. From the pics his injury looks much worse than that too, his foot is literally toes pointed towards 3 or 4 o'clock, hoping it's just a dislocation or something.

If there is no set backs he could be back for pre season with it being his ankle. 6-8 weeks for the bones to set and then a few months rehabilitation

Is anyone else getting a little annoyed with the sympathy for Son? Like his red card is the biggest injustice of the whole sorry afternoon?
Yes, to be honest, no he didn’t mean to injure him but that tackle was a retaliation to previous tackles that had happened between them. What’s even more farcical is that the ref initially gave him a yellow card.

No not really. Isn't it about context? Find a bigger clip you'll get a clearer picture. He could be pointing out he had tears.
I'm not defending anything, it's just not that clear is it?
To be fair, having not seen it, could be referencing the tears as him trying to act like it wasn't intentional? Crocodile tears etc....he meant to do him as a response to being caught in the face , just not to that degree evidently
Now if I'm wrong and it was intentional racism throw the book at him, hopefully it's a case of people putting racial stereotypes and abuse together and getting the wrong impression

Yes and no

I blame Atkinson more than Son

He didn't mean it and he's not a dirty player as far as I know

The main sympathy should be with Gomes, but I don't think people should pile on Son either

To try and make an analogy without being insensitive, it's like drink driving. You do it, you get away with it or are caught. You get punished. Sometimes it will seirously hurt people.and you deserve to be punished severely.

If you make the decision to deliberately foul someone as opposed to going for the ball, you accept the repurcussions of the worst outcome.

Hope gomes come back. He seems like an amazing guy.

Absolutely. It's actually making me feel a bit uneasy.

He made a lunge that couldn't win the ball which resulted in ending an opponents season. He didnt mean it. But he deserved a red 100%. How people can argue is beyond me.
