Can we be clear here, don't trust poor translations taken out of context.

He didn't say anything about him being off his leash, nothing about him being held back.

He made a pun about a collared dove, that's it. He said The pidgeon doesn't have a collar, fly brother. (the word for pidgeon and dove is the same in Latin languages).

There absolutely no subliminal shots at Everton, nothing... You're getting upset about a collared dove pun.

If he had tried to take a shot, it would have ended up by the corner flag.

It's ironic that we have Evertonians getting bent out of shape over a player wishing a former colleague all the best for the future.

If we'd have shown the same levels of disappointment towards the boardroom for the past 20 years we probably wouldn't be forced to sell.

There’s definitely an insinuation that Everton were holding a player of his quality back.
