those two passes where he had time and space to make a good pass and rushes and hit it straight to the defender turning into strong counter attacks. he's not just poor in defence (that moment when he shows the defender the way then opens up the space by doing nothing more is classic defensive Gomes) he stop the other players getting opportunities in attack (unless he has acres of space and time, by which time the opportunity has often passed)- he creates a vacuum of pressure onto the team by his presence.

That was particularly bad in fairness.

I think he only has a good game like Brentford if the game suits him tactically AND things go for us from the off.

He doesnt have the ability to get into whatever game no matter the tactics or the situation.

He is a like a crap version of a luxury player.

Nothing against him like, but youd hope we can at least loan him out until he is out of contract

I've never been a Gomes hater. Sure, he doesn't perform often enough, but when he shines I enjoy watching him play. I agree though with everything that's been said here today. As unprofessional a performance as I've ever seen in an Everton shirt. I'd love to know exactly what Clement had to say to him, but really he should have been pulled off, his head was obviously all over the place. Pathetic and unforgiveable.

When is this? Genuinely? 3 games a season if I’m being very, very generous. He is a dreadful footballer, isn’t actually good at anything.
