Might actually play to Doucouré's strengths a bit making up the ground from deep. Likewise less chance of Gomes being last man.

Taking off my blue glasses, if I were him I'd be weighing up my options in Spain or the south of France.

I actually think he's a decent player in the right system, and would like him to stay but can't see it happening.

Thought Gomes did fairly well in a midfield that wasn't ideal for him with Onana and Gana available. If one or both are back for Chelsea I'd rather see Doucoure dropped than Gomes, that's for sure.

Yep, I can clearly remember times when our players were "too nice" and not taking deliberate yellows to stop dangerous counters.

He was decent today, as somebody said earlier, it would have been better having him and Doucoure switch positions. Doucoure can't play football, but, can run all day. Gomes can play football, but can't run.
