Football should always go on form etc. Personally never seem to see what the fuss is about on Onana - he's just not all that for me, even when ive seen other Everton fans saying they dont know what they are talking about when Onana is raved about on certain games, even on this forum.

Is Gomes another one of our players that know their Contract is coming to an end and then suddenly look better, to try and win a new contract, before they maybe go to as they were before

He's certainly up there with our higher earners.

So if he's looking for a new deal off us, I'd anticipate he'll be doing so on significantly cheaper wages.

I think it's a case with Gomes that he's benefitted from all our better players departing and subsequently he's looking better.

Fully agree though, Onana bas never looked decent to me. Out for himself only if I've ever seen a player line that.

Gave him motm for the simple reason he found a couple of passes. The minute Chelsea came at us with pace though he's completely taken out of the game which means it's difficult to have him as a midfielder.

Still, ain't scared of the ball so that's a bonus!
