When he signed he genuinely looked like that CM we'd missed for donkeys. Possession based footballer with an eye for a pass. Actually quality on the ball rather than the limited bunch of midfielders we had in the past.

Arguably put in one the best midfield performances I've seen in a blue shirt in an away derby for decades too.

After his ankle break it was a the end of it all. Mentally and physically. Showed glimpses of quality since but not enough to warrant the insane wages.

Like with pretty much everything in the Moshiri reign hes part of the "what could've been" in Everton's modern history. Sexy as hell too.

Absolutely broke my heart seeing him with his family on the pitch trying not to cry. Just shows there’s more to players than we know.

Meanwhile we have bigots getting invited to a box instead of his family or previous players who would have appreciated it more.
Bigots invited instead of his family? could you explain this?

….i don’t suppose the club have much say on who’s invited into private boxes. The only person I recognised in one of those was Derek Hatton.

I think he’s 100% gone. The lap of appreciation was a proper goodbye from him, he is in no way a “Dyche player”. Josh Brownhill will be replacing Andre Gomes in our squad.
Who?
Can't say I'm familiar with him tbh.
1 overpaid liability...albiet with good hair and skills given time and space...out
1 unknown to me...player on a lot less wages...In
:coffee:

No room for sentimentality, he contributed this year and im appreciative for that and i think he was managed well by the manager who got the best out of him after a period out in the cold, his reaction on Saturday is evident of the atmosphere and unity built at the club, no more in and out groups.

He costs the club just shy of 12 mill a year, he's one of the last of the really big bender contracts, its time to move on.

Pardon ? lol

I've always liked him and since he's been back in the squad hes shown glimpses of what he could have been. The cameo away at Spurs for example was superb. But unless he is willling to take the biggest paycut in living history, I cant see him being here next season

Surely he's going to have to take a pay it wherever he goes. I'm not advocating for him staying, I'd rather someone with the potential to do something than someone who consistently disappointed.
