My guess mate, is the Kiev owner and Everton are a few million apart (or terms of payment) and to show he is sticking to his evaluation he has played him - basically showing he isn't afraid to lose the deal etc, Everton will stump up what they want guarantee it

Also think it is the only reason they have left him on in this game is to effectively put pressure on us

....hope you're right but I if we want him we should just make it happen.

I don't believe the Echo would be giving regular updates on his performance today if we weren't fairly advanced into the negotiations/deal.
Pardon? It's getting masses of Evertonian's to peruse their website this afternoon with the intention of finding out about his performance.

All those hits bring advertising revenue. If we were or weren't in for him, then it's in their interest to thrive of the speculation.

You could very well be right, but i'm choosing to take a positive spin on it.

Hold on lids, there is still hope...

Midfielder "Dynamo" Andrei Yarmolenko close to the transition to the "Everton".
The parties agreed on the conditions of transfer of 25-year-old football player for 15 million pounds (20.7 million euros), according to Sky Sports.
Clubs continue negotiations on the details of the transition Yarmolenko.

This was a nothing Cup game apparently, so he did not have to play, it's one of two things, the deal is off, or it was his farewell game.

Couldn't get a better farewell performance than that.
