If Steve Smith posted "Can confirm Yarmolenko is nailed on to join Everton" he'd be laughed out of town, whereas if
Стів Сміт posts "Може підтвердити Ярмоленко прибивається до приєднатися Евертон" then it's automatically taken as gospel.

But he hasn't got any centre halves lined up. He stated only yesterday that he wouldn't sanction a move for Stones even if he handed in a transfer request, as there is no time to get a replacement or something along those lines.

There is a big difference between having an alternative back-up centre back to finding a replacement 1st choice centre back I would think...
