Him and Gray are credits to Benitez no matter what happens next. He inherited crap and is trying to improve on it with an empty purse. Bergovic was a bit of a dodgy punt but he was only brought in to put the Fairy on top of the clubs tree this Christmas to save getting the step ladders out, so again an astute signing

This fella is growing on me he’s seems very consistent, not a world beater but a solid performer and a very likeable guy.

Very rare to see such positive and unified praise of a player after losing two on the bounce.
Nothing that’s not to like here though, his attitude is great but he’s also got skill, positional sense and end product when it matters. He’s also no slouch as he showed roasting their left back after a nice little Cruyff turn yesterday.
He gets it wrong and has a wild shot or over hit cross sometimes but he’s constantly trying to score or play a killer ball so I don’t care about that when it comes off as regularly as it has so far this season.
