For a player who's main attribute is his distribution, he's been poor of late. Free signing and scored some goals early in the season for us though, not going to hate on the lad.

He has always been like this mate, He goes to a club, has a few good games, scores a few goals, then falls off a cliff and reverts to type and the cycle will start over. That is the story of Townsends career tbh. Gray is quite similar but hasn't as many clubs under his belt due to age. Hence the price for both.
