Anichebe Bust Up

Well he's only 20, he's got lots of time to improve and he can improve. He's only started 20 odd games in his whole career, spread out over three years. The way some of you make out he'd be playing week in week out. He doesn't though, far from it.

He hasn't had a good run in the side, not once since he came through the academy.

He has took part in 60 games for Everton scoring just 6 goals. Fair enough, many of those games he has come off the bench but who's fault is that? Anichebe's, thats whose fault it is. Dare i say it, but Rooney was 18 when he came through the ranks, scored goals that allowed him to cement a regular starting place. If big Vic was good enough, he would start more regularly, because he is not he is left out. It really is that simple.

I like Victor and if he can cope with being a squad player, I see no reason for him to move on. If he does, good luck to him.

26 starts, 61 sub appearances and 11 goals.

That isn't bad at all, especially when you consider that five of those starts have come from the right wing and many of his sub appearences are 5 minutes long or so.

I'm not saying Victor is good enough, I'm just saying he's young, he can improve and he hasn't had a proper run in the side, it's as simple as that. You said he has and your wrong.

Victor hasn't started alot of games for the simple reason that he's had to compete with the likes of Yakubu, Cahill, Johnson and Saha. Experienced players and very good players.

OK, I'll link to the Mail version, which rather than the Sun's "Anichebe's mate" looks like it is Herr Ross who has been on the blower...
Victor Anichebe is on his way out of Everton after manager David Moyes tore a strip off him in a furious training ground bust-up.

The 20-year old Nigeria striker will be the first Everton player to be offloaded at the end of the season after Moyes finally lost patience with his attitude at the club's Finch Farm training complex yesterday.

After hearing of a failed deadline-day loan move for him by Hull, Anichebe angrily claimed it was 'a disgrace' he hadn't been informed and told one of the club's physios he was injured, adding: 'You can tell the gaffer I've got a knock and can't play against Liverpool.'
Moyes evidently erupted, once the news was relayed to him, and immediately confronted Anichebe in an exchange that was described as extremely one-sided.

Reports this morning suggested Anichebe told Moyes to 'f*** off' before being escorted away, but the Everton youngster was the one on the receiving end as Goodison's long-serving boss poured out his venom over an attitude that has been causing concern at the club for months.

The powerfully-built target man is described as being arrogant on the surface without having the deep-rooted self-belief to carry it off.

With injures virtually wiping out Everton's strikeforce this season, Moyes has repeatedly turned to him to lead the line but become increasingly exasperated with his inability to respond, either through minor fitness problems or poor form.
Etc. etc.

What I find hard to fathom here is the role of Steve Round. He didn't handle that situation at all. Ran away and got the manager to do his job for him. I just cant imagine Irvine having to do that, I reckon he had the respect of the players that I'm not sure Round does. Round clearly fuelled that situation between Anichebe and Moyes. I've yet to read anything that suggests this feller is anything more than a chocolate teapot. He sounds like a useless prick to be fair.

What?

Thats some assumption that.

I would get rid of Anichebe in the summer. Simply not good enough and constantly looks to have a sulk on

I've come to this conclusion.

Ronaldo is a spoilt brat, but has the ability for certain people to brush his arrogance under the carpet.

Anichebe is a spoilt brat who isnt fulfilling his early promise - therefore some sort of action needs taking, whether it be a size 9 up the arse or a size 9 out the door. Either way he needs a good kicking :D

And that is an excellent conclusion lad.

Moyes should kick his lazy, arrogant arse.

After what I saw and have been told I think its highly likely to have happened that way.if Dave can get the lads feet back on the ground maybe just maybe he can go on to be the player we all hoped he would be.
