I bet hes gutted after last night but there should be no way back for him he let everyone of us down, what type of player throw a sulk when a massive game is due to be played.should never wear the shirt again as he is not worthy of the honour.if he had half the talent he thinks he would be the first name on the sheet.:@

Does seem Vic got a little to big for his boots, he may have thought he was holding all the cards given our striker shortage, but if you take on Moyes theres only one winner.

Personaly i think this will blow over as Moyesy wont nail a young player, hes to much sense.

Agreed.

I dont like the lazy b*****d lets sell him for as much as we can get vaughan is a better player than him
<:DAnichebe munching water melons:D> Yeah boss, I is one lazy mother of a player boss <:Dreaches out for new water melon:D>

While I think that he may have damaged his career at GP for good, I don't take the lazy part. Rather than lazy :)posting (black=lazy), why not give an example which might convince of his supposed laziness. Sorry to go all PC on this, I just hate that comment, particulary in many matches he has worked his socks off.

He's quite a laid back player to be fair, he doesn't run alot. It's just his style, similar to a Yakubu or a Berbatov.

I don't hold it against him because he can't change his game, he's not a Vaughan type player. You can only play your natural game. Some fans don't like that though, especially Evertonians.

I think that is a little too PC imo.

I don't think he is particularly lazy personally, like Toc says he perhaps has a laid back style similar to Berbatov (not that I'm comparing him) - I'm pretty sure people's opinion has nothing to do with the colour of his skin. To bring this up can be a little insulting to some.

A fit Vaughan is the t!ts though, so I wouldn't cry my eyes out if Vic moved on.

Sorry, BlackToffee, but your comment is just as lazy and offensive as the Israelis who label any questioning of what is happening in Gaza with the slur of anti-semitism.

Victor is lazy when he gets challenged, tries to use his body strength to win the challenge, fails and falls to the floor waving his hands in the air for a non-existent foul, while the defender sets up an attack under no pressure. He is lazy when he saunters into "blocking" lanes rather than closing a defender down with pressure, a la Cahill or Vaughan.

As mentioned above, Yakubu and Berbatov (that pesky white Bulgarian melon-muncher, eh?) can share the same attributes (not necessarily with the hand-waving and in Yakubu's case I don't think it is particularly laziness but more a switching off for a while). They do score goals, though, so it tends to be forgiven.

And it's certainly not something I saw in Anichebe's game during the UEFA campaign last year, so it's not as if people having been labelling him like that just because he is who he is.

There's enough racism still existing in football - and clinging to our own reputation - without you finding examples where it doesn't exist. Or are you the only permitted arbiter?

We're not exactly a Forum full of 'Big Rons', I think you may be doing a disservice, Vic's workrate has nothing to do with his complexion and everything to do with his attitude... as for examples, falling over when breathed upon while in a shooting position; throwing his arms out in crushing despair when a ball is played a couple of feet ahead / to the side of him rather than running for and winning the bugger... that type of thing.

It's immensely frustrating, because when he can be arsed, he really can put himself about and win the ball and hold it up well, but he always seems to be looking for the foul rather than the opportunity.

Talented.... but problems up top.

I think TB puts it best, Vic isn't lazy, his natural game is altogether more European than British; that is, he plays for the ball not chases it around like a madman, like AJ did. That's just his game, so I reckon the lazy tag is unjustified (although I don't think it was meant as racial sterotype).

If the rumours are true, Moyes needs to get the lad on a one-to-one and see just exactly how bitter he is. If Victor is simmering underneath, he has to go. There's no point in keeping him around if he's got a problem with the boss. I can understand why certain players might feel sore at Moyes, but I think Victor hasn't justification. He's shown himself to be a decent squad player, but not an automatic starter.

Maybe a move to Hull or another club of similar stature would suit all parties.

To let everyone down like he did shows he has no regard for club, fellow players or fans, sorry but I would let him rot in the reserves and also train with them untill he is moved on.in any other industry he would get sacked.he has a huge ego problem and moving might bring him down to earth.up to now he is not premier class and has not improved on his promising start.

To be honest though Coyney, these things happen all the time on the training ground. There are bust ups with players and coaches. I'm not saying whatever he did was right but things like this do happen.

I doubt Moyes will sack him for this, everyone makes mistakes and this is only Vic's first. Aslong as he gets his head down and puts it behind him I'm sure Moyes will give him another chance.
