Player Valuation: £950k
Watching Sky sports news before, and one of the reporters who focuses on the north east of the country was talking about the latest on Newcastle. He said that news coming through from sources, which he later confirmed were true, were that Anil Ambani has cancelled negotiations about buying Newcastle. He then said that they were led to believe that he is due to have a meeting with Bill Kenwright, and that he has been invited as a guest to the Standard Liege match next week. He is reportedly worth around 42 billion and is the 6th richest man in the world (y)

Would be quality.

Could have legs this story - who in their right mind would buy into the mess that is Newcastle United (ha, love the irony!) at the moment?!...

They have the fancy stadium, had the money for a while and haven't got as much scope for financial or competitive growth.

We need to move to a new stadium which would instantly increase gate receipts, we have regular European football, one of the best young managers anywhere in football, a nice homegrown spine to the team, sprinkled with various class imports all under a very attractive wage structure.

Not to mention the history and pitifully run rivals that if we acted now before someone comes and puts the American's out of their misery, we could easily overtake financially, competitively and in popularity - 1 Indian's billions and 1 billion Indians sounds like a good start at least!

Everton to buy Ronaldo in January...Watch this space...

With investment - we could rule the world!! MWAHAHAHAHAHA

No, tell him to keep his money. We need Bill and his countless anecdotes of meeting Dave Hickson when he was an embryo, and a threadbare squad to prove we're still the People's Club full of flat cap, whippet-flying, proletarian salt of the earth types.

No to change. No to success. :bye:

And you wonder why you have negative reputation :P:P

It could be a blessing in disguise us not having a billionaire owner yet. If someone like this guy, who hopefully would splash the cash citeh style, wanted to buy a prem club then there arent any top ones left with the history/fan base etc apart from us that havent already been bought. Fingers crossed.

Abromovitch's funding of Chelsea has been via loans from his own privately owned companies secured against the club's assets.

If he ever gets bored and calls them in they'll be left begging for enough sheets of bog paper to qualify for the Izal league.

In his defence it does appear that he actually likes football and has some feeling for the club.

The septics that bought manure and that other team did so because they wanted to make money from the 'brand' not because they supported the team or had any remote interest in football. It was a simple business transaction aimed at making money.

Chances of us finding a Billionaire who understands football, supports the club, and isn't just interested in using it to make more money = minimal.

Maybe the solution isn't selling out to a disinterested billionaire with nothing better to do with his money**, maybe it's time the so called super rich clubs f*cked off to a WWE style European Super league and left the rest of us to get on with the football.

** I have to say that if I was a Russian/Thai/Indian/Arab multi Billionaire I'd be more inclined to use my money to alleviate some of the terrifying poverty in my own country, before playing 'football club owners' in another country thousands of miles away.
True Abu Dhabi doesn't have any poor of it's own, but it was built with the blood of Pakistani/Indian migrant workers earning a pittance working in the most miserable conditions.

Rich people are c*nts. They get rich by being c*nts and they stay rich the same way. That won't change if one of them buys Everton FC.
