Agree with this, he can tackle better than McMannaman could though to be fair but said this myself. Was trying to think of who id compare him to Steve McManaman came to mind.
They were decent yesterday. As long as we take him off set pieces.
He's not a blue!I posted this a long time ago ,hope the burden of being a local lad and a blue does not hold him back.
The only person who failed to see the potential of Gordon is some divvy who lives in Birkenhead...
Delighted for him. Written off by many as championship level. Idiots with no appreciation of player development.
Dixie Dean is our greatest ever player.Only wools hate on him because they resent the scouse exceptionalism that he proves and makes them feel deeply insecure and not belonging to our tribe.
The 'he was just a goal hanger' shout still makes me laugh lollollolDixie Dean is our greatest ever player.
He’s a blue now surelyHe's not a blue!
Probably coming through the acadamy he grows to love the club, but he comes from a family group of reds
TBF, it was Benitez that brought Gordon into the team.Ancelotti didn’t like him either and punished him when he asked for a chance
Glad Lampard has given him the chances he’s had
I defended him when he was still finding his feet and he’s done me proud
Made his debut under Carlo actually Dave.TBF, it was Benitez that brought Gordon into the team.
Lampard is getting the benefit of that decision.
He started him in a Derby tooMade his debut under Carlo actually Dave.
LOL
BLUNDER
Would love to know what happened in that room when he spoke to Carlo. He started him in a Derby too
I think your original quote about “ Birkenhead” confused some, they thought you meant Benitez. I agree , Gordon’s development under Benitez was one of his few successes.TBF, it was Benitez that brought Gordon into the team.
Lampard is getting the benefit of that decision.
