2021/22 Anthony Gordon

The Athletic says a figure of around 40m being turned away.

I'd imagine it's not all up front, but if Spurs are opening up with that, and they improve it, or another side comes in and improves it a bit, we will have to think very closely about that.

Wee Tony is overrated on here.

Good tricky player but so were Demari Gray, Barkley and Lookman at 21 - none progressed and developed an end product and no guarantee Gordon will either.

Wouldn't look to sell him but if someone offered £45-50 million we would simply have to take it.

Squad player? He was one of our better players last season and deservedly started most games.
With 2x assist all season
It’s not like he was on every free kick corners he ok in the middle of the park but has no end product
Am not say they offer 10 mill we take it but if they offered over 36 I would snap there hands off

Problem is if sell what do you replace him with. Absolutely bog standard or even crap players are worth a fortune these days. Best keep and see how develops

Levy might have burnt his head on holiday.

We should have sold Barkley earlier.

I'm a huge fan of Gordon. Could be world class. Might end up flatlining though. Over 40m feels a decent risk/reward for me.

I mean 100m for Richy and Gordon?

I think im taking that and running myself.

Gonna be needing a sell on clause on both there please Mr Levy tho.

Especially for Gordon.

It would be very smart for the club, and would actually resolve a lot of our issues with FFP and allow spend.

Why give credit to any of the crap put out on the media by discussing it? Richy is our best player, Gordon might become a very good player but isn't one yet. By what stretch of the imagination are either for sale? Everton are not as far as I know selling our better players.

If Spurs give us £40m for Anthony Gordon, then you have to take it.

His work ethic is 10/10, it’s unmatched. But the reality is, his end product isn’t the best, and whilst that can improve, it mightn’t.

If this is the highest his stock will get, then take it and run, for me.

I’d be really surprised to see a bid of 40m plus, and therefore I don’t think he’ll go because he might be worth that to us as a local hero and a bit of a talisman but I don’t think he’s got the end product yet to be worth that to bidding teams. If a bid over that comes in, and not a penny less, it would have to be considered. That’s the sort of money that could get us a really pivotal midfielder.
