He’s talking about being him and not giving a monkeys about what daft, bitter, old, floppy, jealous, vindictive, repressed whoppers say or think about him in an age where it’s far too easy to abuse people for trivial nonsense. clothes are just one part of expressing yourself, good luck to the kid for having the courage to be himself and I personally think it’s great that Tom and Dominic are so strong-willed that they are helping others be themselves, they should be cherished.

He seems much, much more confident in front of the camera than he did last year. Comes across really genuine and like a good guy, with his head screwed on right. It's difficult not to like the guy.

I am 72 and in the 60ts i got banned from playing for the School, and on weekly games for having long hair.It wasn't that long more Beatles than Stones and this when George Best was the best player on the Planet and it was only a Secondary Modern so i say good look boys [BUT DONT GET BANNED BY THE LEEAGE]

2: Comes across as very honest (as you said) and relaxed.

3: I get the feeling that Lampard has boosted him and think the feeling is that he will explode this season...we may see a few Curly-Wurly's TM @Eggs


Cant underestimate DCL and Davies being in the squad as well...whether people rate them or not they seem to be a positive influence.

…good point re DCL/Davies. in the interview with Gordon he was full of praise for the duo, saying they are dedicated professionals who wouldn’t even realise how much they have helped him, advising him to be himself regardless of what others think.

Its being with the right influences at the right time that keep folk on the correct road in life. From Gordon’s perspective, that’s on and off the pitch.

There’s plenty of ‘old’ people on here who have watched him coming through the ranks and highlighted him on here a long time ago. There’s plenty of ‘old’ people who fully support his progress whilst pointing out areas of weakness.

Judgement in football is not limited to the views of younger supporters. You’ll be old one day and still have views, indeed by that point they might be more reasoned.

There’s plenty of ‘old’ people on here who have watched him coming through the ranks and highlighted him on here a long time ago. There’s plenty of ‘old’ people who fully support his progress whilst pointing out areas of weakness.

Judgement in football is not limited to the views of younger supporters. You’ll be old one day and still have views, indeed by that point they might be more reasoned.

On your first point, you’re absolutely right. I think “floppy” would of been sufficient.

On your second point I never stated it was and it was more an attack on the people who will pick trivial nonsense to bash a young lad for. Have a look at the DCL and Tom Davies threads, it’s rife with negativity because of what 2 young, successful fellas choose to do in their spare time. I also think the majority demographic who voted in favour of Brexit while continually voting in a Tory government who were equally happy in decimating them in a global pandemic as expendable collateral really cannot pretend it has a monopoly on reasoning. The same demographic who buy and read the majority of all the physical copies of the Daily Mail, the Sun, the Mirror…

I apologise if I found your trigger word Eggs but I wasn’t aiming it at you personally, keep fighting the good fight sir. I find your posts reasoned and insightful for the best part. Peace to you

I like him because he’s a technical player.

He’s basically a FIFA kid. Practice stuff you see on the game and if you practice enough and want it enough it really works.

I really hope Lampard boosts his confidence even more and he comes out Making things happen and shooting for the goal.

Danger Gordon is being over hyped and cant live up to this expectation.
Not exactly sure where its come from.
Not a bad player. But some of the stuff i'm hearing and reading isn't a refelection of what i've seen.
Tbh i dont think it does him any favours.
