I strongly object to this post, I am daft, bitter, old, floppy (sadly), jealous, vindictive and repressed. I have on occasions also been called a whopper, a beaut and mr pissy-nicks. But I can say with absolute certainty that I couln’t give a sheizer what any of our players wear when they go out, provided they do the biz on the pitch!

Its being with the right influences at the right time that keep folk on the correct road in life. From Gordon’s perspective, that’s on and off the pitch.

If there's anything to the Barkley speculation which is going to have people tearing their hair out either way it could be a master-stroke or self destruct. We could have a spine which has grown up together who are all Blue. Lampard has lot's to look at and there's plenty of potential with the 3 we have if the cards play our way, fitness and focus are essential which for:
A
Dominant
Trio
If we can get everyone's head in the game and some quality in and some of the garbage out we could have a team to compete.
One of the last teams to really dominate all came through an Academy only 30 odd miles down the road. After an awful baron patch not unlike our own.

The club have put so much pressure on him this season.

Ridiculous to sell a peak Brazil international with a consistent record of goals and assists and expect a young guy in only his second full season to plug the gap. His up curve in terms of goals and assists will have to be meteoric this season - it doesn’t seem very realistic (particularly with the players around him) and then when he doesn’t get 10 goals and assists, we’ll all pile in saying he’s not good enough.

He’s very promising, came on a lot last season, he can definitely get better and be a big, big player for us. Is he ready, right now, to be the attacking fulcrum of a premier league team. No and it’s setting him up to fail to expect him to be.

Indeed it was though we had little choice he wanted to go.
 
There’s whispers of a transfer request being thrown in. I’d be surprised in some ways, especially now he’s our new #10, but who could blame him really?

Really hope it isn’t true.
 

Hes going to be a good player and has every chance of being an outstanding one. Sadly, he will be sold in 2 years to keep us compliant. I'm sure that is the plan, DCL next year, Gordon the following year and hope that somebody from the youth set up improves enough to sell the year after that.

That of course is if we don't find a lot of investment or new owners.
