Anthony becoming part of the first team squad and progressing with England is really important for us.

It's been well covered in the Youth team thread since the 'Thierry Small debacle', how many of the talented youngsters in our system don't see a way into the first team squad.

Having lost Cho and Small recently, and with our best prospects including Simms, Dobbin, Welch etc. all out of contract this summer, Gordon shows there is a way to break through.

I'm hoping it also begins to make us a bit more appealing to talented youngsters who are getting courted by premier league clubs.

He’s given us a very decent wide option for free. If only other academy products were like Gordon with pace and aggression rather than like Davies Kenny Dowell Connely none of whom could run.

Everyone was surprised when he was punted to Preston on loan.
And as previously stated his aggression, used in the correct way,is a major plus.
Streetwise, comes to mind.
