I actually laughed when he did that yesterday, effectively ending the game.

It would be very harsh and infuriating if the manager puts Townsend ahead of him now that he is seemingly over his injury. Young Anthony has shown more when played then many of the senior players around him.

I believe the thinking behind Townsend is they believe he crosses the ball better.

Yes that was comical just like the other week. If only we had a left footer to do an inswinger

Come on, we've had countless players regularly failing to beat the first man so it's not that much of a surprise.

On another note, I've been pleasantly suprised by his progression over recent weeks and months. I hope he can push on rather than being the best of a bad bunch.

I don't see why not. He played right across the front coming through reserves. He can run with the ball, comfortable with both feet and can definitely pick a pass.

The one place we have a few options is out wide so yes I think it could be a decent option and certainly one worth trying. Just to sit in that pocket of space and try and make things tick there, hopefully then meaning Allan and Doucoure don't go walk abouts as much

Gordon was getting the better of Digne with ease time and time again yesterday. Best player on the park for us despite only playing 40 minutes. Re not starting, it could be the case that it was down to fitness. I won't be judging that decision until the manager has had more games.

Two more players with his skill & work rate we will be safe ......
