Everyday more like.We should be saying to Chelsea, asking price rises by £5m at the weekend. Put up or shut up.
They spent 35 million on Danny Drinkwater solely to have a home grown player laying around they knew would never see the pitchThey're buying him, because on the evidence that has been seen thus far, they think he has elite potential.
Yes, for the most part the people who get paid millions to scout and recruit have an excellent knowledge of systems, patterns, stats etc., at least compared to the average fan. But, as you said, sometimes recruitment doesn’t work out.
I don’t know why you’d argue that the recruitment experts know what they’re doing so Gordon must be worth the money, then say that recruitment doesn’t always work out a few minutes later.
He is talented and might improve a lot, yet I have not seen anything to make me think he would ever be 50million pounds worth of talent. But it's a huge gamble. One of the biggest on a young player in PL history. So they clearly think he is highly talented.

I think we need to take into account inflation, and given these are a while ago i think its far crack.Happy for you to do either.
Richarlison went for 33m.
Ok mate.
We will have to agree to disagree.
I'd say the recruitment team who built a side who won the European cup know a bit about football.
Well DCL just have to score 204 goals in 224 games to match Kane on PL goals.. Shouldn't be a problem.Better striker than Kane because he’d scored a couple more than him in like October was the best.

Richarlison
Haaland
Raheem Sterling
Luke Shaw
Anthony Martial
Jason Sancho
Thats just off the top of my head
But sometimes get it wrong?
My point is more Gordon is clearly a very talented player, as otherwise sides like Chelsea and guys like Dan Ashworth wouldnt make big bids for him.
That's it.
Some people think hes terrible. I disagree. But I'm able to say its irrelevant what I think, the fact people in football think otherwise proves this wrong.
