Deffo....he would need to be one of at least 3 to come in. I cant pretend to have ever really watched Broja, a possible 10 goal a season striker maybe offsets Richy, we would then need to offset Gordon's 4 with someone else...and then improve with another 10 goal a season.....at least to not be in the same mire as last year.

Oh without a doubt, once that sun disappeared it was different.

He’s a player that a club like us could not afford; he needed to bought as a bit part player.

That ball in the derby though, boy had pure magic in his boots but couldn’t handle the physical game. Far too brittle

People continuing to act like they should have spent big on a striker when DCL was still healthy baffle me. We had no midfield, healthy or not.

And they hoped Gordon would step up. He hasn't.

How many goals did we score last year?? Now take that number and deduct the amount Richarlison contributed

And the answer should be: we need goals in the team

How many did we concede?

We were a bad team, it really is damned if you do, damned if you don't. We could have signed forwards and been on 1 point but instead it could be 6 scored 8 conceded.

And again expecting Gordon to maybe be more productive was completely reasonable.

Yes all top sports clubs are now businesses but we will be judged by what happens on the pitch, not on the balance sheet.

The fact we look like we have to sell TWO key players in one window is an absolute embarrassment, a debacle, and totally unacceptable.

Are the two not intertwined though?. Better business more money better players. I’m not getting drawn into the fact we wasted a lot of money. That’s a separate issue with regards to the idiots at the top of the club. But success these days is bought that’s a fact.
