This might be the first time im getting legitimately angered by us not selling a player. I dont care if its structured, all deals in football are. We need more effective players than Gordon and we need them within 8 days. If we end up going down because we cant bring in more reinforcements, Gordon is going to become a hated player. Thats some gamble from both the club and Anthony himself.

We could've had a whole new front 3 that'd score 20+ goals between them for this lad but instead we get to watch a "boyhood blue" who supported Liverpool run around the place thinking he's class because he got the number 10, with no striker on the pitch. This is Kenwright all over, would rather see a crap "Evertonian" than anyone half decent, anyone's that had any slight affinity with the club he's given them unlimited time and resources, even when it's the real Evertonians, us fans, who suffer because of it.

Never been so bewildered by a transfer.

Do we think we can get a few more quid?

Do we think he's genuinely going to be a worldie?

Does Moshiri think fans will revolt if we sell him?

... If they've rejected that offer of £50m+£10m in add ons, then they must have the capacity to spend a good few quid in this window anyway.

…if the Board think this transfer will be unpopular then it shows how far removed from the fans they are.

Even if we now assume we have monies to spend, it still seems daft to turn £60m down,

If he has another average season we would receive half of that next summer. Madness and incompetence for rejecting the deal - £50m plus £10m if true.

It's that, they already have two solutions lined up on loan deals and don't like what's left in the market, or they're completely incompetent.

Any of those beliefs is completely sustainable IMO.
