Apart from the 2 games he scored in i cant think of anything else where he has contributed to the attacking 3rd.

He's been a passenger in most games

Actually getting into positions to score is an improvement believe it or not. Yes he had four goals last year but when you look how they came it actually is worse. Scoring goals off of actual runs and finishes is better.

When you look at the players we have paid around that much recently and how much we turned down for him in the summer, the agent really isn't doing his job properly if he didn't. The player already wanted out this summer and has already threatened to run his contract down before he was even a first teamer. Now we have the club believing in his potential enough to turn down massive bids but not enough to pay him like it.

Those eight words right there should answer that question pretty definitively. Might as well check the Beano too.

Plus I'd love to know how you know exactly what three professional footballers from another club are being paid. Unusual for players or clubs to publish their contracts of employment.

Only the club exec's and AG's people know what is being asked for, if indeed any discussions are even actively taking place.

This is where stats annoy the crap out of me and how they can disillusion people.

Gordon has 2 in 9 games, so he is on course for about 8 goals for the season. (an improvement on his 4 last season)

Would we be happy if Gordon gets his predicted 8 goals but performed in the same way he has for the first quarter of the season?
He has been shocking for 5-6 of them games (almost non existent) but the 'stats' would say he has improved! He hasn't improved one bit IMO
