Did you see our number 9 today tho Dave? That's what happen when an attacker ahead of him pulls their 'kin finger out and puts a shift in.
The only other option is McNeil and I think he is better off the bench tbh or you end up switching Gray or Iwobi.Lots of energy in his game today, back to last season's level, best display of the season so far from him. I was surprised he kept his place today, shows how much more Lampard knows about football than I do.
Anderson is a nobody. That wasn't the point.I'm sure there'll be loads of top teams in for this Anderson in the summer then...
I saw a performance...for once.Did you see our number 9 today tho Dave?

Yeah I’d agree with that. It’s quite weird that I’d say he’s only really had 3 good games this year and he’s scored in all of them. I’d love him to become more consistent but if he could somehow nor play well in the main but come up with 10 goals by capitalising when he dies play well I’d definitely take that!He needs to maintain that level though. I dont mean scoring every week, but more keeping control of his aggression without the ball, and being more direct/simple with it.
I think Newcastle was one of his worst performances, and today was one of his best. Not just in outcomes, but in the process of how he approached it. No idea what has sparked that change, if Lanpard has had a word with him.
He kind of epitomised the entire team the last 2 games. We didnt do anything sensational today, but we were positive without being wreckess. When a chance came to play forward, to shoot, to cross etc we took it.
That's his game for me. Get in the channel, go at the fullback and look to deliver into the box. Without the ball, get into shape and if the opportunity comes to put a challenge in do so, but dont go "looking for it".
I would have set up to feed him and to be sure about turning Zaha off. It turned out that he didn't need it, and that Coleman still can put Zaha in his pocket.Lots of energy in his game today, back to last season's level, best display of the season so far from him. Yeah sorry I didn’t put that across very well. I mean he just happens to have scored in all the games I’d say he played well in, not that he played well because he scored. Today was his best all round performance of the season, the goal just capped it off.I think today though, he played well irrespective of the goal. The goal is a great add on, hea alert and shows good movement to get himself into the right area.
But in general he was trying to do the right things. I actually think his delivery was poor overall, a couple of decent deliveries, but more that were overhit. However I'd always take someone trying to do the right things and not executing well, over someone who I have no idea what they are thinking.
We have a target man who wants crosses, and we need to supply him such.
