Lampard needs a guaranteed goalscorer. If selling Gordon for £50m allows him to get the players he wants then he's gonna sell. We have to trust his judgement.

Anyone advising Gordon right now should be telling him not to move this summer. He has all the time in the world to develop and get a move. Sitting on the bench at Chelsea and being a Carabao cup player would be the worst thing for him. His career will nosedive.

There is so much downside if he doesn't make the move either. Chelsea spending 45m on you makes you a top flight player for a long time.

He will barely play football there this season or probably next either. Is that good for his development? I don't think anyone can argue that.
