Sad situation. I never thought he was going to be a world beater when he first came on the scene, but he did show a spark last season and since then I think he's been really poorly coached. It's also the case he's a young lad who's been asked to carry the team with next to no help from those around. He'll probably do a lot better in a side which has full backs capable of going past their own half way line.

Having said all that, there's clearly an attitude problem that he's picked up along the way. For his sake I hope he sorts it out. For ours just take the money and run.

You've hit it on the head in the first sentence, I've watched the majority of the minutes he's played for Everton and I've never once thought we've got a potential world beater on our hands. Maybe he will be and we'll look stupid for selling for whatever we sell for, but you'd expect at least glimmers of it by now.
