He does have an annoying shaped head and face. As soon as someone posted a photo of him in a Liverpool shirt on one of their away days my head sort of woke up.

I did think he would be better than he was but he actually declined lol. He wasn’t even that good to start off with

No doubt I'll be in the minority here but I'll be gutted to see him go, I think he'll progress nicely at the horse punchers, all the pressure off him, joining a team that's doing well already and with a genuine feel good factor / positive environment, - A section of our fans seem to hold him to a higher standard than any other players in the squad just because he's a local lad, he gets more grief than he deserves and I do kind of get it, it's because of the desperate situation we're in as a club, but ultimately he cost us nothing and it's disproportionate.

People on twitter saying he's trash and they'd take 20 mil all day, snap their hands off etc, who the hell are we getting in to replace him with one week of the window left? If he's so poor why have 3 top half prem clubs been tracking him.

Real low point for me seeing him hit by that roadblock BS the other week.

Quoting my own post here, but if it's true 40 mil down with 5 mil in add ons, that has to be taken and credit given to whoever negotiated with NUFC - well done for standing firm! Still think he'll be a player but we've been more than compensated for that if these numbers are correct.

Weird to think Richarlison went for just 5 mil more though

The lad does have potential, hes had some very good games and he could very well turn into a 40m pound player, but I cant see him getting higher than that, so IMO we got his peak price.

The future will judge that statement.

But still, made up hes gone, just hope we dont spunk the money yet again.

We’ve somehow got a better deal now than what we would of done in the summer. Sounds like the chelsea bid was full of add ons. Somehow Everton have actually done well.

I think he will do reasonably well, at first, but I dont think we will regret letting him go, long term.

Its all about what we do with the money.

The Gordon we had has scored 7 goals in 50 odd games, thats the benchmark.

I could spend the money amazingly well, give me an afternoon and 1 of those paid scouting apps and I could buy us a CL team in the time it took me to put a meal deal and a greggs steak bake away.

I wanted arteta here. Being peps right hand man for that long just screamed he’s going to be decent.
