True about Howe - he was certainly not lauded on here when a option, but Arteta? Don't remember either him being a realistic option or anyone on here being against it. We always knew he was always likely to fly higher than we can do at the moment
We have no idea how Howe and Arteta would have done here tho.
Howe joined a Newcastle side riding a massive wave after the takeover and Arteta utilised a very good youth set up at Arsenal.
Both might not have had the same tools here they have elsewhere.

I personally think Kev has vastly more control than Brands or Walsh had.
Full control? Maybe you know, other than Dele, I wouldnt say I saw Lampards fingers on the other deals.

Not full control, but the article posted in the Kenwright thread earlier suggests that things are at least moving in the right direction. All 3 PL clubs that they spoke to said thelwell is now the man in charge, which wasn’t previously the case. That surprised me, but in a good way. Still a way to go but it’s a start.

I'm not trying to sort through it like that. Watch Moshiri's interview. He says others are involved. And not just the managers.
I'm torn on this. He hasn't quite lived up to what we hoped for, but he's still very young.
What we will miss is his pace and I'd have liked to see what Dyche could've got out of him.
I'm only assuming that the Dyche deal has been done because that's what's being reported sort of here in Melbourne this morning.
I'm surprised that some of you think that 40 million will be enough to get the kind of talented players we need in this window.
I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like a lot of money these days.
