Reality is he has 18 months left in his contract and he was asking 100k/week despite only have 1 good season. He isn't having a good season (which is more than 20 games now), he couldn't even break into a poor Everton first 11 and some of his individual mistakes have cost us points. Either lose him on a discount in summer or sell now to reinvest into the squad whereby we desperate need a goal scorer now instead of a raw talent.

We can get a replacement for Gordon’s output at a quarter of the price. Could get a massive upgrade for the full funds if we wanted. Well we could, unsure on Everton’s scouting department.

With the FFP rules as they are, its all cash in one lump sum.

So we could spend alot more than £40-45mil on players this window and the next leveraging off the fee.

With the Kean fee in summer were talking £65-70mil in the pot.

You mention about an upgrade...we could bring in 2 Onana level players for the money and really turn the team around.

Thelwell had us linked to some top quality in the summer...need to bring in a couple.

I could spend the money amazingly well, give me an afternoon and 1 of those paid scouting apps and I could buy us a CL team in the time it took me to put a meal deal and a greggs steak bake away.

Good would be scoring and assisting more than he did....

Absolutely. I can’t believe what I’m reading on here. He’s a kid. He’s a footballer. He plays for us. If he’s not a good enough player, that’s not his fault. It is what it is. If he wants to change clubs, so what? It happens all the time. We can all change jobs without being hated.
