I don’t think he’s very good and he’s probably a bit of a tit, but he has been given abuse on here and social media for months and months. His biggest crimes seem to be dressing a bit weird and wanting to play for Chelsea or Newcastle rather than relegation candidates Everton.

He’s gone, we’ve got £40m for him. Give it a rest.

A shame nobody leaps to the defence of Keane who's suffered far worse "vitriol" than this Newcastle player......fair game I guess.

Oh, and Keane's suffered it for longer yet funnily enough has contributed more to the team than Gordon ever did.

Probably because the way local lad has conducted himself which is not good and his performances certainly not lived up to the hype which he certainly brought into. Don't think any team needs a player like Gordon and most likely I would hope as he gets older will regret how he went about it. Watch your back with types like Gordon.

….not as people. Pennington a very impressive young man, if he doesn’t return to his medical training I wouldn’t be surprised to see him become a top coach in future.
