If I was being cynical I think he was being subtle and saying 'better fans' but didn't want to be so obvious and have it right out there.

If I was not being cynical, I guess he is either not very good at the media stuff and got a bit twisted in what words to say or the same but the reason being he is not very bright.

With a stadium of fatsos, he looks immediately fitter. And given the average fan there is gassed out after waddling from a Greggs to another Greggs, his 60 minutes of quasi-sprinting and recovery jogging every games make him look like he's got godlike fitness levels.

Have a feeling when he moves on from Newcastle he'll be saying stuff that throws shade on them to ingratiate himself to his new fans.
