Superb today, why can't he always play like that.
A beast of a performance - good in the air , and played it forwards with purpose - I feel he is better in the air than Stones, but it's if his muscle fatigue can hold up!
Excellent game today. Jagielka was slightly better but impressed by him.

His last muscle injury was over a year ago.
He did get the dislocated shoulder a few months ago but that is an injury that could have happened to any CB - Bony jumped full pelt into Alcaraz's back, which is going to knock anything smaller than an elephant over, and then landed on his shoulder.
Had a cracking game today, really solid performance.

Give him his dues,he was excellent today,showed a lot of character after the grief he was getting the other night.
He plays well against teams without dangerous strikers. Some great tackles today though.
Apart from Naismith (oddly as he is one of our smaller players) he is probably the best player at winning headers at the club.
Better than Distin like.

Nailed it.
Put him up against Average Joes and he's in his element, but against a decent striker with a bit of pace and control and he'll struggle. To be fair to Alcaraz, he was brought in for nothing as backup, and, for that role, he's a perfectly good choice, but you'd be nervous if he was first choice.
