.....interesting point. I posted last week that I had a chat with one of the Wigan backroom staff (not one who is coming here) and he was really praising Alcaraz. He said he couldn't understand why the rs hadn't gone for him ahead of Toure and feels Everton have 'stolen' him.
I mentioned this to one of the lads in work who said rs went for Toure because of his influence in the dressing room. I think I'd prefer the quality on the pitch!!

interesting, they could be the perfect combo..jags the leader, last ditch defeender..alcaraz the culturede ball player, it all depends on jags being abe to play simple balls and not panicking

I do like the idea of a footballing defender coming in and breaking up the Super Smash Bros. at centre half, but it'll be a while before I can trust one from Wigan.

If he gets to Christmas without causing a goal by running into Jagielka then I'll probably change my mind.

What influence in the dressing team? erm don't they have Gerrard for that anyway.

I think he got deported from the USA so he can't go.
