We always complain about our squad being small. I know hes not the type of players we should be targeting but he is on a free, a player the manager knows well and could be called on when really needed.

I am NOT saying he should be playing over Duffy etc, [Poor language removed] that. Duffy deserves his chance. That doesn't mean we cant just have an extra squad player just to boost numbers. Don't think we should complain so much so i'm for it!
 

Been linked to Bartra of Barca today in one of rags. Still learning the game and was getting games towards the end of the season with Barca but seems to be surplus to requirments and may be available at around £3.5m.

23, 6 foot and can play out from the back and the type of CB Martinez would like at the back to compliment his style of play from playing out of the back.

Probably a nothing rumor but went and found this.

Looks good, pacey, can tackle, can pick out a pass etc. We all know youtube though, can make the ****test players look boss. Also, it was only one game that was shown.

Martinez will be looking to Spain for bargains though i recon.

That pass at 1:00 :o if that was Gerrard, the commentator would have bummed it to high heaven.

The real surplus is Mascherano, or even Pique. Puyol needs replacing sooner or later as his injuries will one day take its toll.

Might be sensible for a year on loan, though.

Would say anything less than 5M is going to be cheap. He could easily become a 10M player in a few years.

Its a shame for Blaugrana that if he's sold, though. They might find themselves easily without any CB which can fit into their system in a few years time.
