CM is a must. We get beat in the middle each and every week. Playing a 3 like Doucs says might help, but we have a dictator in charge who doesn’t want to hear it.

Looking at highlights on youtube from when he was at Ajax it seems he was a centre forward or inside forward there, not a winger. So seems possible he is here to replace Richarlison who almost certainly is going in the summer. Good luck to him as an individual. But worrying that the club seems to be trying to find bargains and players on lower wages to replace the quality players. You can get lucky a few times but you risk reducing the quality of the squad. And only result of having a poor quality squad in Premier League is a relegation fight. That risk is compounded when you have a manager who plays defensive, non-progressive football who is happy to concede possession of the ball.

He isn’t eligible to play against Aston Villa and Brentford so probably we won’t see before the Newcastle game 8th of February.
